This quarter we have closed 83 as reported to the HTA.  Licensed establishments need to report that an incident has taken place and provide a follow-up investigation report within two months for review. 

When an incident occurs, we aim to support establishments in their review of the incident and the actions taken to help mitigate the risk of a similar incident occurring in future.  

In August we approved a total 72 living organ donations across all four nations.

Today, the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) has published a revised version of Code of Practice F, part two. The HTA undertook a review of the Code to reflect the introduction of deemed consent for deceased organ and tissue donation for the purpose of transplantation in Northern Ireland (NI).

In July we approved 111 living organ donations across all four nations.
