Human Tissue Authority welcomes four new Board members
The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) is delighted to announce the appointment of four new Board members by the Secretary of State for Health & Social Care.
Lynne Berry CBE, Chair of the HTA, commented:
“We are thrilled to welcome Helen Froud, Reverend Prebendary Professor Gina Radford, Steve Stanbury and Canon David Stanton to the HTA Board. Each brings exceptional expertise and a diverse perspective that together will prove invaluable as we navigate the evolving landscape of human tissue regulation. Their collective experience will strengthen our commitment to ensuring the safe, ethical use of human tissue at a time of public scrutiny and considerable innovation in the sectors we regulate.
“I'm looking forward to working with them, as they join the current Board Members. I know they’ll find a dedicated and supportive team at the HTA.
“I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to our outgoing Board members Tom Chakraborti and Helen Dodds for their outstanding service to the HTA. Their contributions have been instrumental in maintaining public confidence in our sensitive regulatory work."
“I am also very pleased that Dr Andy Greenfield and David Lewis have been re-appointed as Members of the HTA for 3 years from 1 April 2025”.
These appointments have been made in accordance with the Cabinet Office Code of Governance for Public Appointments and announced by the Department of Health and Social Care.
