As we move into the next phase of our stakeholder engagement work, we wanted to say thank you to everyone who has attended our events this year, shared feedback in our surveys, or engaged with our regulatory processes. Your hard work and commitment supports us to ensure that human tissue is safely used and stored, and that there is continued public confidence in the organisations that use human tissue.

A recent highlight for us was the HTA stakeholder learning event in September. Over 150 delegates travelled from across the country to join us at Mary Ward House in London, and all the sectors we regulate were represented, which gave us an excellent overview of the key issues in each sector. Delegates rated the day 4.5 out of 5 and shared lots of kind words, as well as helpful feedback on what we can improve next time.

Listening to our stakeholders has shaped our priorities for the year ahead. We know from recent feedback that people value face-to-face engagement and want more frequent opportunities to connect with us and with each other. We know some sectors have established their own networks and HTA colleagues have attended when asked. We plan to make information about these available on our website and are happy to signpost to other networks if they are established. We recognise the importance of peer-to-peer networks, as a small organisation we happy to join these when invited, but we aren’t able to establish and coordinate them.

Over the coming year, we’ll focus on improving how accessible and useful our information is. Website usability has emerged as an area of improvement, so we're arranging a virtual meeting to help us understand user needs and help us decide how best to take forward improvements to the website.

Over the coming months we will also consider how best to respond to the other suggestions, such as providing more case studies and best practice.

Thank you again for working with us and we look forward to seeing this work progress.
