Website and Design Officer
The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) is the national regulator for organisations that remove, store and use tissue for research, patient treatment, post-mortem examination, teaching and display in public. We also give approval for organ and bone marrow donations from living people. With the interests of the public and those we regulate at the centre of our work, we aim to maintain confidence by ensuring that human tissue is used safely and ethically, and with proper consent.
We are seeking an experienced Website and Design Officer to join our small and friendly Communications Team. The individual will lead the maintenance of the HTA website’s architecture and content. Therefore experience working with a Content Management System and an excellent eye for detail is essential.
This role will also include the design and development of key corporate publications, so experience working with software like InDesign is a must. Once settled, the individual will be given opportunities to use their initiative in projects across the HTA. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to be able to quickly establish effective working relationships both with external stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing material for a range of audiences requiring exemplary written and editorial skills. This is alongside the ability to translate information which can often be complex and technical into plain English.
