Quality and Corporate Governance Manager
The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) is the national regulator for organisations that remove, store and use tissue for research, patient treatment, post-mortem examination, teaching and display in public. We also give approval for organ and bone marrow donations from living people. With the interests of the public and those we regulate at the centre of our work, we aim to maintain confidence by ensuring that human tissue is used safely and ethically, and with proper consent.
As our Quality and Corporate Governance Manager you will lead on and support a wide range of quality and governance work with the aim to develop and improve our corporate quality and governance functions. In addition you will be responsible for supporting our programme board, assisting us to develop and maintain project management tools as well as assist our Head of Corporate Policy and Strategy in providing support to the Authority.
Recent experience of quality management systems and processes, including the development, implementation and ongoing management of these will be essential, as is the ability to draft and present information in a clear and accessible manner.
The successful applicant will have a common sense approach to prioritising conflicting tasks and not be phased by managing a demanding workload. This will be essential so that you are able to successfully lead day-to-day operational activity alongside longer term governance and quality improvement projects.
