Job vacancy: Regulation Manager
We are the national regulator of organisations that remove, store and use tissue for research, medical treatment, organ procurement and transplantation, post-mortem examination, teaching and display in public. We also give approval for organ and bone marrow donations from living people. With the interests of the public and those we regulate at the centre of our work, we aim to maintain confidence by ensuring that human tissue is used safely and ethically, and with proper consent.
As one of our Regulation Managers you will be responsible for leading inspections as well as undertaking investigations across a range of sectors.
This is a busy role where you will need to be self-motivated, diligent and able to demonstrate that you can assimilate complex information while using your judgement to make evidence-based licensing decisions. Highly developed organisation and prioritisation skills will be crucial as you will be required to meet competing deadlines across a variety of tasks including project work.
Your flair for building excellent working relationships and ability to communicate to the public as well as all levels of professionals will allow you to provide expert advice and guidance, both one on one and within conference and workshop based settings.
Highly developed written communication skills will be essential as you’ll be responsible for producing high quality reports which are published externally on the HTA website as well as papers for both the senior management team and authority members.
We are recruiting a number of roles. A relevant background in one of our regulated sectors is desirable with the following being an advantage for at least one of our roles:
- Experience working in the research and development of cell based therapies
- Knowledge of health and research sectors
To meet the minimum requirement for this role you must be able to travel throughout the UK and commit to overnight stays.
