The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) is the national regulator for organisations that remove, store and use tissue for research, patient treatment, post-mortem examination, teaching and display in public. We also give approval for organ and bone marrow donations from living people. With the interests of the public and those we regulate at the centre of our work, we aim to maintain confidence by ensuring that human tissue is used safely and ethically, and with proper consent.

Reporting to the Director of Policy, Strategy and Communications, you will lead on the development and implementation of our strategic communications plans including digital media, pro-and-reactive communications management and effective stakeholder engagement. You will also manage our communications team to produce high quality materials, ensuring that specific target audiences – including the public and professionals – are engaged with the HTA’s work.

To succeed in this crucial role you must be highly organised, a first-class communicator, and have a proven track record working with a wide range of stakeholders. With previous experience in managing a communications team, you will be able to motivate and coach the team to achieve high performance and output.
