We are the national independent regulator for organisations that remove, store and use human tissue for research, medical treatment, post-mortem examination, teaching and display in public. We also give approval for organ and bone marrow donations from living people.

With the interests of the public and those we regulate at the heart of our work, we aim to maintain confidence in the system by ensuring that human tissue is used safely, ethically, and with proper consent.

This is an exciting time to join our organisation as we embark on the delivery of a new strategy which aims to build on our achievements and further strengthen our sustainability, agility and resilience.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will share leadership of our Regulation Directorate and will work alongside our Director of Regulatory Delivery to achieve the aims of our three year strategy.

This is a diverse role leading our strategic planning, policy development and communication and engagement functions. You will also be responsible for driving the development and analysis of our data holdings, improving the targeting of our regulatory tools.

You will be a collaborative leader and able to demonstratrate experience at a senior management level within a comparable organisation.

Strong stakeholder management experience and political sensitivity will be essential as you will be responsible for ensuring that the HTA’s reputation, brand and relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, including the public and media, are maintained and enhanced.
