Director of Policy, Strategy & Communications
The Human Tissue Authority is the national regulator of organisations that remove, store and use human tissue for research, medical treatment, post-mortem examination, teaching and display in public. We also assess applications for organ and bone marrow donation from living people.
With the interests of the public and those we regulate at the centre of our work, we aim to maintain confidence by ensuring that human tissue is used safely and ethically, and with proper consent. As part of our senior management team, the Director of Policy, Strategy & Communications will be pivotal in achieving this aim.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to provide leadership in the development of our organisation’s regulatory and corporate policy, strategic and business planning and communications functions. You will need to demonstrate experience at a senior management level within a comparable organisation where you were actively involved in achieving results in each of these areas.
Strong stakeholder management experience and political sensitivity will be essential as you will be responsible for ensuring that the HTA’s reputation, brand and relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, including the public and media, are maintained and enhanced.
