The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) is the national regulator for organisations that remove, store and use tissue for research, patient treatment, post-mortem examination, teaching and display in public. We also give approval for organ and bone marrow donations from living people. With the interests of the public and those we regulate at the centre of our work, we aim to maintain confidence by ensuring that human tissue is used safely and ethically, and with proper consent.
As one of our administration assistants, you will work as part of a small team to provide high quality and flexible administration support across our organisation. You will be the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, will be responsible for travel and accommodation bookings, preparing papers and making arrangements for meetings as well as assisting with administration processes associated with our regulatory, licensing functions and authority processes.
Effective communication skills, both written and oral are essential as are excellent organisational skills with the ability to use your own initiative. You will need to be competent using PC packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as in using the internet. Experience of using a Customer Relationship Management system is desirable.
