The HTA’s Triennial Review
The HTA’s triennial review was conducted by the Cabinet Office to provide assurance to the Department of Health and the public that the HTA’s functions are still required and that we are operating efficiently.
The Miscarriage Association have developed a suite of learning resources for professionals, informed by women and their partners who have experienced miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or molar pregnancy, and by health professionals who care for patients with pregnancy loss.
We are the national regulator of organisations that remove, store and use tissue for research, medical treatment, organ procurement and transplantation, post-mortem examination, teaching and display in public. We also give approval for organ and bone marrow donations from living people.
More and more people are accessing the information, advice and guidance that the HTA provides through our website. In 2014 we invested in a newly designed website as part of our ongoing commitment to enhance the quality and accessibility and transparency of the information we provide.
The HTA has produced a model consent form for professionals seeking consent for an adult or child's post mortem. There is also guidance for the families of the deceased.
The HTA published its 10th Annual Report and Accounts on 7 July 2017. This Annual Report covers the period from 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017.
