The HTA has now kicked off a review of our codes of practice. The first stage of this will take place between now and September and is looking at the structure and accessibility of the codes. The codes have not been updated since 2009 and there is a widespread view that this fresh review is needed. To read more about the review and to offer your feedback click here.
As part of the review the HTA would welcome any comments that you have on the codes. Specifically, we are asking:
- If there were 3 things that you could improve about the codes what would they be?
- How could the HTA better present and communicate its advice and guidance?
- Are there other examples of codes that work well?
Any comments on the codes structure and accessibility should be sent to us via email by 8 August 2014 for consideration. There will be a fuller consultation on the content and detailed provisions of the code next year.
