HTA postpones upcoming inspections in response to the current circumstances around COVID-19
We have taken a decision to postpone any scheduled inspections between now and the end of September, due to the continued increase in COVID-19 cases across the UK, and have contacted all establishments affected.
This will ensure we can prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff, those working at our licensed establishments, and reduce pressure on the system at this time, particularly as the government have now advised against non-essential travel.
We will continue to provide advice and guidance to professionals and the public, and retain our oversight across the sectors we regulate, and act on any serious matters that require our attention.
We will continue to carefully monitor updates from colleagues in central government, Public Health England, and the wider NHS; our first priority is to protect and support our staff, and in turn the wider public.
You can find official sources of advice for the public here:

- Coronavirus: protect yourself and others (Public Health England)

If in any doubt, if you think you may have symptoms, make sure to isolate yourself in a safe location and call NHS 111 for further advice and guidance.
