All establishments licensed under the Human Tissue Act 2004 and the Quality and Safety of Organs Intended for Transplantation Regulations 2012 must review their licensing records and complete a compliance update.
The information collected will be used to:
- maintain our regulatory oversight
- guide our regulatory approach, and
- inform our risk profiling and the scheduling of site visits.
We have issued Legal Directions and full instructions on how to complete and submit the compliance updates. These have been sent by email to the Designated Individual and Licence Holder, or ODT Named Contact, for each licence.
You will be able to complete and submit your compliance updates via our online portal from 9am on Monday 2 September 2019 and will close by 5pm on Friday 18 October 2019. Please note, you will not be able to access the portal submission form until the 2 September.

To help you prepare, we recommend that you read the guidance document on submitting Compliance Updates using the HTA Portal. You should also check that you have access to the HTA Portal.
