Commenting on the publication of Royal College of Nursing (RCN) guidance on managing the disposal of pregnancy remains, Caroline Browne, HTA’s Head of Regulation said: “We know that the loss or termination of a pregnancy, whatever the circumstances, needs to be handled sensitively by the healthcare professionals involved, and we were pleased to contribute to the development of this new guidance from RCN. Along with HTA guidance, this will help ensure that women are aware of all the options open to them and are able to make an informed choice about what happens following pregnancy loss.”
