Our Regulation Managers work at the heart of our organisation. They are responsible for leading on HTA inspections, ensuring our establishments meet our standards, as well as develop our regulatory guidance and policies.
This is a busy role where a person needs to be self-motivated, diligent, and able to demonstrate that they can use their judgement to make evidence-based licensing decisions. Regulation Managers are excellent at building working relationships with our stakeholders. They provide high-quality advice and guidance on our regulation to members of the public, as well as to those working at our licensed establishments.
Meet a Regulation Manager
My name is Lisa and I work as a Regulation Manager in the Post Mortem sector. Before I worked for the HTA, I was an Anatomical Pathology Technologist (APT) working in a mortuary for many years. The Regulation Manager role is a great way of using my knowledge and skills from working in the Post Mortem sector and has given me the opportunity to learn more about the other regulated sectors.
As a Regulation Manager, I particularly enjoy going out on inspection and meeting the people that work in our licensed establishments. The role is challenging and varied but very rewarding as we often provide advice and guidance to our stakeholders and the public. The HTA is a very welcoming and supportive organisation which definitely helped me settle into the role.
