Providing access to learning and development opportunities allows our people to continually improve job-specific skills and knowledge. It also improves personal development, both of which will support the ongoing growth, professional development and success of our people.

We want learning and development to be about more than just training. When people are asked to think about their learning and development, they often think of classroom-based training courses. But it can be and is so much more than this.

Learning and development is personal. It is something that people pursue out of choice because it benefits and interests them as well as helps them to develop in their careers. The HTA’s approach to learning and development is influenced by the 70-20-10 learning model:
