Induction process

Our induction process seeks to ensure that new staff feel a part of our organisation and invested in achieving our goals. An effective induction is important in ensuring our people are equipped with the skills they need to be successful in their role, whether they are new to the HTA or have moved internally.

We provide all new starters with information and guidance about the organisation and what to expect before their very first day. We also make sure there are opportunities to meet and greet with colleagues during a staff member's first few weeks of employment.

When our people start a new role their line manager will provide them with job-specific objectives for the probationary period (first six months). As part of the objective setting process, line managers will work with their new employee to identify the skills and knowledge that will be needed or further developed to achieve the probationary objectives and be successful in their new role.
