Fees and payments

As an executive agency of the Department of Health, the HTA is funded from two main sources: 23% in the form of Grant-in-Aid from the Department of Health (DH) and devolved administrations; and 76% from licence fees charged to organisations that store and use tissue for various functions such as research or patient treatment. Overall, since 2010, there has been a reduction in HTA fees of 36%.
