Codes of Practice and Standards Review
The HTA is undertaking a fundamental review of its nine codes of practice and standards. We will be consulting on the revised codes and standards from 1 September to 30 October 2015. The consultation document and draft codes and standards will be available here.
These consultation workshops will give attendees an opportunity to ask HTA staff about the content of the codes and clarify their understanding of the revised codes and standards. The workshops will also give attendees the chance to discuss the codes and standards with other professionals.
Following the events, we encourage all attendees to submit a written response to the consultation.
If I attend the workshop, do I still need to submit a response to the consultation?
Although we will note down any major questions or concerns raised through these workshops, we encourage all attendees to use the workshops as information sessions and to submit a written response to the consultation.
Do I have to select which workshops I would like to attend?
Yes. If you do not select which workshops you wish to attend, you will be not registered to attend any.
Why do I need to say which workshops I would like to attend?
The order of the consultation workshops will be determined based on the number of attending registered for each workshop. We will be running two workshops at a time so it is important that you tell us which workshops you intend to go to so that we can do our best to ensure that as many people as possible are able to attend their preferred workshop.
Is there a limit on the number of workshops I can attend?
Yes, you can attend a maximum of four workshops. The first session will focus on Code A - Principles and Consent. This will be followed by the workshops on each of the six sector codes. In the interests of time, workshops will be run simultaneously over the morning so you will only be able to attend one of the two workshops that are happening at each time slot.
