This consultation workshop was open to professionals working in organisations licensed by the HTA or whose work is affected by the HTA codes of practice.
Codes of Practice and Standards Review
The HTA is undertook a fundamental review of its nine codes of practice and standards. We will consulted on the revised codes and standards from 1 September to 30 October 2015.
These consultation workshops gave attendees an opportunity to ask HTA staff about the content of the codes and clarify their understanding of the revised codes and standards. The workshops will also gave attendees the chance to discuss the codes and standards with other professionals.
Following the events, we encouraged all attendees to submit a written response to the consultation.
If I attend the workshop, do I still need to submit a response to the consultation?
Although we will note down any major questions or concerns raised through these workshops, we encourage all attendees to use the workshops as information sessions and to submit a written response to the consultation.
Do I have to select which workshops I would like to attend?
Yes. If you do not select which workshops you wish to attend, you will be not registered to attend any.
Why do I need to say which workshops I would like to attend?
The order of the consultation workshops will be determined based on the number of attending registered for each workshop. We will be running two workshops at a time so it is important that you tell us which workshops you intend to go to so that we can do our best to ensure that as many people as possible are able to attend their preferred workshop.
Is there a limit on the number of workshops I can attend?
Yes, you can attend a maximum of four workshops. The first session will focus on Code A - Principles and Consent. This will be followed by the workshops on each of the six sector codes. In the interests of time, workshops will be run simultaneously over the morning so you will only be able to attend one of the two workshops that are happening at each time slot.
How do I get to the venue and where can I park?
The Waterton Centre is best accessed by car. Please refer to the map on the Waterton Centre website for further information.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you do not need to bring a printed ticket with you.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes, that is fine. If you are unable to attend the workshop, please feel free to ask a colleague or friend to attend on your behalf.
