The HTA has a number of memoranda of understandings with other regulators to streamline the regulatory process.
On 7 January 2013 the HTA, Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) published a joint memorandum of understanding and joint working protocol which will enable inspectors from all three organisations to work together more closely and to help regulated establishments understand how we work.

In May 2015 the HTA and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) signed a joint memorandum of understanding outlining a clear framework for joint work, including conducting joint inspections at mortuaries that are inspected by both the HTA and UKAS.

In September 2017, the HTA and Health Research Authority (HRA) signed a joint memorandum of understanding and joint working protocol which will enable the organisations to work together more closely to ensure that the systems for licensing and ethical review are clearly understood by researchers and other stakeholders.
