The HTA publishes its revised Code of Practice F to reflect the introduction of deemed consent for organ and tissue donation in England

From today, the Organ Donation (Deemed Consent) Act 2019 introduces a system of deemed consent for organ and tissue donation in England.

Government confirms organ donation system change in England on 20 May

Today, the government has announced that the new law to implement a system of deemed consent for organ and tissue donation (also known as an ‘opt out’ system) will be introduced in England on 20 May 2020.

HTA announces licence fees for 2020/21

Today the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) has published licence fee levels for the 2020/21 business year. The new licence fees come into effect from 1 April 2020, with an increase of 4% on the previous year’s fees.

We and the Health Research Authority (HRA) have worked together on the production of two new eLearning modules. This is the first time that the organisations have collaborated on the development of learning resources.
