Independent Assessors
The HTA trains and accredits Independent Assessors (IAs) to assess certain types of living organ transplantation in the UK.
These types of transplantation include paired, pooled and non-directed altruistic donations. The IA acts both as a representative of the HTA and as the advocate of the donor.

IA e-learning course
The e-learning course for IAs has been designed to train IAs and will also be used as part of the reaccreditation process. It is also possible to access the course if you would like to refresh your memory of the approval process.
To access the e-learning course, IAs should use their same username and password as for accessing the online submission system for IA reports. If you cannot remember your username and password, you can request that a reminder is emailed to you on the log in page below.
Anyone can access the course – if you do not have a username and password, please click on the link below and then click 'Request a password'.
CPD credits
This course has CPD approval from the Royal College of Physicians (RCP). Completion of the e-learning course will allow IAs who are members of the RCP to accrue 4 CPD credits.
