Post mortem inspection reports
A post-mortem examination is a detailed study of a body after death. All post-mortem examinations must take place on premises licensed by the HTA. HTA regulation ensures that tissue from deceased people is not used without appropriate consent and has helped post mortem facilities improve standards of care of the deceased. This means that people can be confident that the deceased are treated with dignity and their wishes are respected. Inspections of licensed premises in the post mortem sector are scheduled taking the establishment’s risk level into account.
Listed below are the reports for the inspections that have been conducted since November 2010. If you would like to find out more information or ask question about an inspection report, please contact a Regulation Manager on 020 7269 1900 or email enquiries@hta.gov.uk
