Information about closed HTA consultations.

Codes of practice consultation

A public consultation was held on eight of our codes of practice from 1 August to 14 November 2008.  Seven of the codes were revised based on our experience of regulation over the last two years, and a new code on research was also produced.

You can download the consultation versions of the codes of practice below (please note that this consultation has now closed).

(We did not consult on code of practice 8 - Import and export of human bodies, body parts and tissue. This is because the code was only published in May 2007.)

Thank you to everybody who responded to the consultation and took part in our workshops. Once the codes have been finalised they will be published on this website in 2009.

Consultation on proposed new licence fees

From 5 February to 23 February 2007 we ran a consultation to allow all stakeholders to contribute to the development of a new licence fee structure.

Thank you to everybody who responded to the consultation. The confirmed licence fees for 2007/08 have been announced and are available on the fees and payment page.

Import and export Code of Practice consultation

The HTA ran a consultation on the draft Code of Practice on the import and export of human bodies, body parts and tissue. The Code sets out practical guidance for establishments importing and exporting human bodies and tissue, including those storing tissue for transplantation (human application). The consultation ran from 3 October to 12 January 2007.

Thank you to everybody who provided feedback on the draft Code of Practice. The final version of the Code has now been published – import export Code of Practice.

Public display consultation

The consultation on the HTA Code of Practice on public display of human bodies, body parts and human took place in 2006. A revised guidance document has been prepared following the consultation.

The public display provisions of the HT Act commenced on 1 September 2006. This guidance document, together with the compliance reports, provide the necessary guidance to help the sector understand if they need to comply with the requirements.

Thank you to everybody who responded to this consultation and attended our workshop.
